California roma-type tomatoes are prepared from clean, wholesome, red, mature fruit. The tomatoes are washed, machine cut and carefully laid on drying trays, treated with salt, then dried in the California sun. The tomatoes are steam treated to reduce bacteria The tomatoes are then processed to order. The drying process consists of sunlight only.
